This course has been designed specifically for individuals involved in sports organisations, whether you're a coach, volunteer, administrator, or parent. Throughout this course, we'll explore the key aspects of safeguarding, from understanding the different forms of abuse to implementing effective policies and procedures. We'll also delve into how to respond appropriately to concerns and how to continuously improve safeguarding practices within your organisation.
The course is divided into four modules:
Module 1: Understanding Safeguarding: This module will provide a foundational understanding of what safeguarding means, the relevant legislation, and the different types of abuse.
Module 2: Creating a Safe Sports Environment Here, we'll focus on practical steps you can take to build a safe and inclusive culture within your sports organisation.
Module 3: Responding to Safeguarding Concerns: This module will guide you through the process of recognising, reporting, and responding to safeguarding concerns effectively.
Module 4: Ongoing Development and Review: In this final module, we'll explore how to continuously improve safeguarding practices and stay up to date with the latest guidance.
By the end of this course, you'll be equipped with the tools and knowledge to make a real difference in the lives of children involved in sport.
Assessment Method
After completing each module there will be a quiz to assess your learning. You will move through the later modules upon successful completion of the quiz test. This process continues till the end of the course. You need to achieve and overall score of 70% correct answers to pass this online course.
